Certainly.
The elect are those that God has commissioned for a particular task. Individuals such as Mary, Moses, Elijah, John the Baptist and the Apostles (minus Judas) are considered to be among the elect.
The selection of large numbers of individuals is not supported Biblically, and that belief is not widely held amongst Christians.
