These Cafeteria Catholics should be booted out the door. Give them directions to their local Episcopalean or Unitarian Churches. They’d be happier there.
Calling them cafeteria catholics/christians is generous. Heretic or apostate is a more appropriate term. They should leave and Paul wrote in I Corinth 5 that they should be put out of fellowship (excommunicated)but we must also continue to pray for them to repent.
