I found the extreme irony so sad that he was going to be charged for 2nd degree murder (and absolutely rightly so thankfully - honestly I was shocked they charged him with this) yet millions of women every year do the same thing to their unborn children and they are applauded for being "in control of their bodies". The irony is double ... he was charged with 2nd degree murder , which implies a lack of premeditation. Those who commit abortion do so with malice aforethought. I particularly mean the abortionists (the mothers are often under considerable duress). They should be charged with 1st degree murder.

Thanks, I was wondering where this church was in San Fran. Well, we have orthodox parishes here in Los Angeles too.

They are so perverse they want to kill the babies but save the murderers. They are morally opposed to capital punishment. What sense does that make?It doesn't, unless someone is taking the opposite position they should out of a childish spite against G-d.

Good for this priest. At least his parishioners will know that Pelosi is not a Catholic in good standing.

From what I hear, the Bishop of San Francisco won't like this. Too bad, and God bless Father John Molloy for speaking truth to power.

I understand that pro-abort groups fear just that development. They would be hard pressed to come up with an appealing rationalization.

Correct, probably even more so...

Nancy Pelosi, recalled. But I thought I might want to be a priest. There seemed to be a little more power there, a little more discretion over what was going on in the parish.Spoken like a diehard feminist. These are the exact type of people I DON'T want becoming priests, be they male or female

Pro-choice Catholic politicians will accept Communion until forced to do otherwise.Instead of refusing them Communion, maybe the Church should refuse to bury them with a Catholic funeral. Maybe they'll start thinking more seriously about it.

Instead of refusing them Communion, maybe the Church should refuse to bury them with a Catholic funeral. As a faithful Christian that might be meaningful to you, but to a secular humanist it would mean: "Great - no consequences for my behavior in this life. In the hereafter, who knows? Maybe God is a liberal woman!" I exaggerate, but only slightly.
To: Zack Nguyen
Oh no. You don't understand. These nominally Catholic politicos want a LEGACY! They want to go out with a grand funeral Mass, with the incense and choir and all the bells and whistles; maybe even a Bishop presiding.
If it is made clear to them they will NEVER get that, it might make them think twice. One never knows, does one. It would certainly get them in a place they care about very much; their VANITY, if not their immortal souls.

He's wasting his breath on that old hag. A woman convinced against her will is of the same opinion still.
Spiritually speaking however, her blood is no longer on his hands.

I hadn't thought of it that way.

a catholic priest writing a letter against a catholic democrat. He'll be ostracized and sent to a small church far away from everyone.
