The Protestant Episcopal Church was the name of the Anglican Province in the United States, but was not the name of other provinces. As I am sure that you are aware, the use of the term "Episcopal Church" dates from the American revolution when it simply wouldn't do to be attending the "Church of England".

Incorrect. The PEC was the name of the Anglican sect that broke away from the Anglican sect in England after the American Revolution. Those are the facts. Please learn them. It was not an Anglican province (at first). It was a seperate sect. It also gave birth to most of the sects now claiming to be "Catholic" Anglicans.

I am aware that the Protestant Episcopal Church was exactly what I said it was and you don't know as much about your own history as you think.
