For those who do not know the "older definition" of the term 'Chicken Hawk,' it was at one time the term for homosexuals who had a penchant for young, (underage) boys.
I received a flyer in the mail today from an organization called Vote Kids (votekids.org) that attacks Rick Santorum as being anti children. On a cursory investigation of this organization, I found more questions than answers. The flyer is typical of many this season (frankly from both sides) full of misstatements and distortions. It accuses Santorum and Bush of being "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and harming children. I went to the votekids.org web site, and it is totally anti Santorum propaganda -- really, nothing else --- but it was directed at Pennsylvania voters, while being headquartered in Washington DC.
I checked to see if it were a non profit. It does not say if they are tax deductible, but on their donations page, they do not even have a means to donate on line and simply suggest mailing contributions. Hmmmm? Odd it the age of on-line funding.
CWLA is an association of more than 900 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist more than 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year with a range of services.
Searching a little further, I find this on the ACLU web site;
Child Welfare League of America Backs ACLU in Challenging Florida Gay Adoption Ban (12/9/2004)
Anomaly? Not quite. The Child Welfare League is also working with LAMBADA Legal to
"...to fundamentally change the way lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and adults are treated in the nations foster care system."
So a fellow from an organization who's primary function seems to be lobbying to allow homosexuals greater access to children, especially abused and neglected children, comes up with enough money to do a direct mail to registered voters in the state of Pennsylvania? This smells like Chicken Hawks at work.
There is big money behind this somewhere, and the child molesters have show they have cash lots of it. Are they putting it behind Bob Casey? What do they expect in return?
Perhaps Freepers with better investigative skills than I can check it out.
BTW. The mailing addresses for both the Child Welfare League of America and the Vote Kids organization is 440 First St. NW, 5th Floor, Washington, DC.
Wow -- excellent research. Thanks for your hard work, and keep digging and double-checking all facts. Proud of you!!!!
Good research. *BTTT*
But the one thing that lights my fuse is when people abuse children. There are no excuses there. And when it's scum DC insider types with and all the 'right' contacts, be it Foley or Studds or these &%^$#%%$ lobbyists doing it, .......... I boil over.
There is no excuse for using or abusing children.
Easy answer... They expect Casey to reject Constitutionalist judges and support judges who will rule that child porn and man-boy love associations are constitutionally protected forms of speech.
CC&E
I expect you are correct.
Bump.
