I think it started back in the late 70's with allowing women to become priests and changing the Book of Common Prayer. I dunno. The prayer book changes started in the 60s with the trial liturgies. I remember two of them, known as the "green book" and the "zebra book." But the church was already in trouble when it failed to rein in Pike.
