``And I am a Roman Catholic woman priest.'' Pope Benedict would beg to differ.

And I am a US Olympic Athlete.
Of course, I haven't made the team, but a guy I met at the Casa DeLoma Apartments named Buddy told me I knew all that there was to know..

Precisely....methinks Rome needs to start suing some people. And it's past time they started seriously cracking down on these Liberal renegade priests that openly disregard church teachings. Obey and serve, or find yourself another religion.

**The ceremonies prompted the Diocese of San Jose this month to warn Catholics that the sacraments there would be invalid.**
At least the bishop did this much!

Just saying the words of the Rite don't make you a Roman Catholic priest. No matter how much you pretend it does.
If journalists would stop feeding their egos and tell the truth, it would be nicer.

``My name is Victoria Rue,'' she said. ``And I am a Roman Catholic woman priest.'' No, Ma'am.
You're many things, but you're not a Roman Catholic priest of any sort. In fact, you're not even a Roman Catholic. Your profane "simulation of a sacrament" incurred an automatic excommunication.

The church says the movement is built on a falsehood: Women can't be priests, so whatever ceremonies they hold are moot."The Church says..."
Says? This makes it sound like a mere difference of opinion.
This is Church law, there is no difference of opinion, no minority position. These women are not priests. They should be given a substantial period to renounce any claims of "priesthood" or failing that, be excommunicated.

``God has called me,'' said Juanita Cordero, a Los Gatos woman who will soon be ordained as a deacon and aims to be a priest by 2007. God hath spoken to me, also.
He sayeth......"It is lunchtime......go eat Bar-B-Que......."
To: NYer
Again, the media pursuing its agenda by presenting these women as priests with no counter argument that it is not possible. They just expect us to assume that they are, in fact, priests because they say so.

Adults playing dress-up.
I always ask advocates of female "ordination" what doctrinal distinctives they insist upon that separate them from the Episcopalians who do "ordain" women.
They never have an answer.
To: Petronski
For sure ... but it would be, as you say, "putting on paper" what is already true in fact. She's no more a Roman Catholic than Vicky Gene Robinson (for example).

But until it is formally and specifically stated, these women and their press lackeys will continue to deny or ignore it.
