How can one be "washed" in the blood of the Lamb?
How did the tribulation martyrs "wash their robes and make them white in the blood of the Lamb"?
How did the tribulation saints "overcome him by the blood of the Lamb"?
Propitiation and expiation are forensic terms by which the wrath of a holy God has been satisfied and the penalty for sin been paid by the death of Christ. The vindication of that penal satisfaction was displayed in the resurrection. When they arrived at the tomb Jesus had been resurrected but had not yet presented Himself to the Father. The sacrifice was complete and accepted as evidenced by the resurrection but the High Priest had not entered the Holy of Holies.
I did not label Bynum as a heretic, but said his extreme sentimental literalism rather than interpreting obvious metaphors, is making an idol of the blood.
"Bagpipes make me cry."
My brother nieces and nephew all play the pipes and travel to competitions. Unfortunately that means they play at all family gatherings. However, it is not the pipes that make me cry but the 27 verse repitition. I spent summers at a Salvation Army summer revival camp in Old Orchard Maine as a youngster and I cringe when I hear "Just As I Am" for the 10th time and pray for someone, anyone, I'll even pay them to go forward, just so it stops.
"Those bagpipes used to bring terror to the hearts"
You want terror come to my family's Memorial Day picnic. My brother and his kids will bring terror to your heart.
"where Oh, where did you find those Valedictory pictures from Van Lear Coal Mine High School??"

then again, how would you know if you were elect to begin with?
Yet, five years prior (1992), MacArthur wrote in his book Charismatic Chaos the following:
"Lest you think cranks, obscure eccentrics, or naive charismatic believers are the only ones who would make such claims,
listen to Jack Hayford, internationally known author, media minister, and pastor of The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California.
Hayford told the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America that God has told him a new era is coming:
'Hayford ... related a vision in which he had seen Jesus seated on His throne at the right hand of the Father. In Hayford's vision, Jesus began to lean forward and rise from his seat.
As the anointing caught in the folds of His garments, it began to splash out and fall over the church. Jesus said, "I am beginning to rise now in preparation for my second coming. Those who will rise with Me will share in this double portion of anointing."'"
[Charismatic Chaos, pp. 48-49; footnote on Hayford, "Pentecostals Set Priorities," Charisma (January 1991), p. 44.]
"On page 50 of Charismatic Chaos, MacArthur asks, "Did Jack Hayford actually see Christ rise from his seat next to God?" The obvious answer to that question (in the context of MacArthur's book) is "NO!"
So which John do you follow?

I am not a Calvinist.
This is personal with you isn't it. You really are an enemy of John MacArthur despite your claims that he was lying when he said he had enemies out there.
Quite frankly I believe both statements by MacArthur. I consider Hayford to be a model of diligence, faithfulness and enduring loyalty and a tribute to God's grace. I also believe that Hayford's vision was probably not of the Lord. So what?
Hayford is a man of God and so is MacArthur. But apparently, unlike their detractors, both of them have feet of clay. Both of them have moments of hypocrisy and lapses of judgment. It must be nice to be so perfect.
I see that you've stumbled on the Arminian secret to holding a successful altar call :P
well ok....lemme ask you this then
You seem to be of the opinion that one cant lose thier salvation....Im curious how you come to that conclusion
LOLOL!!! That site is great.
