Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-9 pings/day).
This list is pinged by sionnsar, Huber and newheart.

I was kind of wondering if the Epi-scopals still baptise, and if there were any Christians in attendance at that event.

rage that unnames the beasts by sucking the spirit of life from man, and reducing him to the dust of the earth.

An amazing observation.

I am afraid we are not rid of God because we still have faith in grammar.

Another amazing obeservation, but for very different reasons. Nietzsche was a classical philologist and grammar was his trade. He forsook it all.

Are we not straying as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of empty space?

This quote from the Gay Science is where Nietzche ended up. And that was in an insane asylum where he spent the last years of his life suffering the debilitating effects of syphilis.

The quote also calls to mind the Buddhism--the quest for the Great Void--which Nietsche lauds in the Gay Science. How many times have you heard Anglican clegy praising Buddhism from the pulpit? One too many times, I would say.
