There has been a lot of give and take among myself, and other Christian Catholics and Orthos of good-will, notably Kolokotronis, Agrarian, and Kosta. I thought this was an important reminder to all that in any attempt at reconciliation between our Churches (and only Catholics and Orthodox are churches) it is important to remember the reality that Rome has a theological baseline from which it can not be moved.

Now, some will credit that to mendacious stubborness but we Christian Catholics see it as humbly responding to that which was Divinely Constituted by Jesus. We didn't just make it up as we went along.

It is quite certain that Rome believes there is a theological baseline here. It is also important to remember the futility of seeking union while Rome still embraces this error.
