And Job chose not to curse God. Did God allow that too?
Who formed Job from the womb? Did God know Job would not curse Him? Of course He did just like He has formed each of us for a purpose. God knew what Job was fully capable of because God gives us our faith.
Our disagreement is rooted in Calvinist refusal to accept free will as the gift of God.
You will find that Calvinists believe in free will. We just believe that we are initially bound to sin until God the Father chooses us and the Son sets us free. After that we can walk according to God's will or we can walk according to our sinful will. You give us far too much credit that man can somehow overcome our sinfulness to do things that are pleasing to God. This also brings up the issue that if we are walking according to God's will do you really think that buys us any points with God? God expects us to walk according to His will. God does not expect us to walk after our will.
"...God allows us to be wicked or good.
If God allows us to be wicked or good He certainly wouldn't have flooded the world or rained fire on people's heads.

If God allows us to be wicked or good He certainly wouldn't have flooded the world or rained fire on people's heads Hmmm, like He flooded Nazi Germany, Stalin's Russia, or rained fire on Muslim Ottoman inavders, Pol Pot and Attila the Hun...you continue to devise more self-satisfying but incorrect reasons for everything.
According to you, there are no wicked people who are successful because God either drowned them or burned them. Please.

Did God know Job would not curse Him? Of course He did So, why did he let satan tempt him? Just because? Or to make a fool of satan? I don't think so. The Book of Job shows that we must never blame God, that those who truly believe will never blame God, that any misfortune and evil does not come from God.
You give us far too much credit that man can somehow overcome our sinfulness to do things that are pleasing to God
The Book of Job gives credit to Job for not giving in to evil, for choosing God in adversity as well as in blessings. Yes, much credit is given to man who is willing to walk in God's footsteps and do good in God's name.

God the Father chooses us and the Son sets us free. After that we can walk according to God's will or we can walk according to our sinful will That is a preposterous proposal. Calvinists, then, believe that only Christians are good and the rest of the people of the world must, by necessity, be evil?
This is, of course, consistent with your theology that humanity is, through Adam's sin, and not our own, born dead and that there is nothing good in us. This is of course contrary to what the Scripture says (cf Eze 18:20) that no man shall bear the iniquity of another, be it his father or his son.
That which is good in humanity is from God and by God. The rest is our own creation and choosing. The difference is: the nonbelievers will give credit to themselves; the Christians will give all credit for goodness to God.
