Who told me the record of Peters words were scripture?

Why Peter himself did!

"For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased," we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

And we have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts," 2 Peter 1

"Okay then, according to your interpretation, any tradition which came after that, you don't need! Right?"

Incase your going there, Paul makes reference to the Gospels as calls them "Scripture".

So I think I have proven my point.

You: "Who told me the record of Peters words were scripture? Why Peter himself did! 'For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty...'"

Me: That doesn't sound like a claim to divine inspiration, merely a claim to be an eyewitness. Even if it were a claim to divine inspiration, a claim does not prove a claim. Furthermore, how do you know 2Peter was written by Peter? A mere claim to authorship does not prove authorship. You must have some other authority you're going by. What is it?

Me: "Okay then, according to your interpretation, any tradition which came after that, you don't need! Right?"

You: "Incase your going there, Paul makes reference to the Gospels as calls them Scripture. So I think I have proven my point."

Me: Actually, I wasn't going there. I was merely pointing out that if you interpret a letter to mean, "Scripture is all you need to believe," then we don't need that letter or any writing which comes after it. Now are you going to answer my questions, or are you going to keep dodging?
