Will this 'official' announcement precipitate a fresh flood of news stories? Most of the mainstream media have already pre-announced the contents. What do you suppose will be their reaction, now that they have had time to organize their 'responses'?

I think the homosexual activists will continue what they've been doing, only I predict a shriller voice.
I also think the secularists will use this in any way they can as fodder for their 'undermine the Church' machine, as usual.
I'll also add that, in celebration of the 'holiday' season, the History channel has shown a string of "documentaries" casting doubt on canon law, pushing heresies, referring to Catholicism as 'mythology', and various assorted other diatribes against the Church and Christianity. But this is nothing new. After all, this type of thing has been going on for nearly 2000 years. But I have faith, and can see from the past, that God raises saints when we need them. Benedict XVII is a powerful force of God's will against evil on earth.

Will this 'official' announcement precipitate a fresh flood of news stories? Of course. They won't pass up another chance to decry the alleged Vatican "witch hunt" and to misrepresent Catholic teaching in accordance with gay activist dogma.
