Not to hijack this thread, but I'm ROTFLMAO thinking of a Roman Catholic whose attitude toward guitars in church is so totally similar to the attitude of members of the Church of Christ/Christian (Non-instrumental) toward ANY musical instruments in church.

I know the Christian churches of all varieties do pick up many more than their fair share of "fallen Catholics", but does this go the other way as well?

It does...at our Catholic Church (every year) at Easter we have new Catholics baptised (or if they've already been baptised in a Christian Church - they recieve all their sacraments (usually about 10 in total) and I'd say almost 70% were from Protestant Churches - we've had some Jewish converts and the others usually weren't raised with any religion.

Where is it written that God can't stand guitar music? Many received the talent to make beautiful music...guitar music. Did God intend for guitarists to play only in Folsom Prison (Johnny Cash), or just to accompany Flamenco dancers, or for rock music in a bar/club?

Organ music ONLY in church: It is, it always was, and it always should be.

For those who don't care for hymns played on guitar, trumpets, drums or any other instrument, they are totally free to attend an "organ" Mass.
