LOL! The bishops are in a serious state of denial. I think even Benedict XVI disagrees with this proposition.

Seriously, the current generation of bishops (the establishment in power, generally between 60 and 80 years of age currently) has too much invested in the liturgical "reforms" of Post-V2. We have to wait until the new generation of bishops comes to power for anything positive to result, despite having a good Poper and a few good bishops. Grand scale results will not happen under this current crop of bishops. The new generation will be able to OBJECTIVELY look at Vatican II and its aftermath and make non-emotional judgments concerning these matters.
You're right. But B-16 can begin with "...over the years, there have been some beneficial effects..." and get to the "BUT" clause rather easily.
