O Jesus, Who has said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened," through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.
Be with those who have fled from the storm, and may the holy angels watch over them to keep them safe.

O Jesus, Who has said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name, He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted.
Be with those who wait for the storm to land, and may the holy angels watch over them to keep them safe.

O Jesus, Who has said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away but My word shall not pass away," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

Be with those who will lose much, and may the holy angels watch over them to keep them safe.

Divine Jesus, You have said, "Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you." Behold me kneeling at Your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by Your Sacred Heart to Saint Margaret Mary. I come to ask this favor: Mention your request).

To whom can I turn if not to You, Whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits? Where should I seek if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of Your kindness and mercy? Where should I knock if not at the door through which God gives Himself to us and through which we go to God? I have recourse to You, Heart of Jesus. In You I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.

This night, I ask not for myself, but for all of your children sorely afflicted by the storm battering the night, with wind and rain and flood. Be with them, and show them your mercy, set your angels over them to guide and protect them, cover them with your precious blood so that no wile of the dark one may touch them.

And in the end, Lord, may we all come to know you, Lord, who reach out with a heart filled with mercy.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto thine!

Jesus,
you who love us
beyond the ken
of earthly wisdom,
who calls us home
even
the ugly,
the aching,
the miserable,
the cast off,
the poor,
the selfish,
the self-righteous,
the uncaring
enough to die
for each and every one,
here, watching God's folly,
I fall down on my knees
and adore you.

O Jesus,
son of Mary,
son of God,
who knew the taste of dust
on the road,
the feel of sweat on your forehead,
the bite of hunger
at the end of a long day,
the weight of wood,
smooth under a carpenter's hand,
rough against the back,
the anger of a mob,
the betrayal of friends,
the loneliness of suffering,
evil done in the name of justice,
the bitterness of a shameful death,
and still you loved us.

O Folly of God,
love beyond compare,
Emmanuel,
remember us this day,
weak,
--be our strength,
alone,
--be at our side,
during the storm,
--be our firm anchor,
hurting,
--be our healer,
in need
--be our help.
Open our hearts to you,
you who are all love,
whose heart is big enough
to hold the whole world
whose hands wait to lift us up
whose love waits to heal us,
whose peace can transform us.

Amen.

O Lord,
In the darkness of our fears,
we turn to you,
you, who are our beacon
while the storm roars
and the darkness threatens.

O Lord,
when the storm breaks,
and the dawn comes,
and we view what we have lost,
and the fear
turns to grief,
anger,
the longing to punish,
be with us still,
may we cling to you
instead of shut you out
in our hurt

I have been praying a lot from here (your northern neighbour) over this hurricane. When I went to bed, the eye of Rita was still offshore. When I checked in this morning, I saw that God had indeed been merciful (again). It looks like all those horrific estimates will not come true, Houston & Galveston largely spared, Port Arthur/Lake Charles & NO not drowned, and Rita down to a class 1 Hurricane. There will be property damaged, and unfortunately people hurt, but overall I see that the fervent prayers of sincere people (such as on FR threads like this) has got results. THANK GOD for his great mercies. All Glory and Honour be to Him.

V. Blessed be the holy Trinity and undivided Unity;
R. We will give glory to Him, because He hath shown His mercy to us.

V. O Lord our Lord, how wonderful is Thy Name in all the earth!
R. O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God!

Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy
Blessed Trinity, hear us.
Adorable Unity, graciously hear us.

Response: have mercy on us.

God the Father of Heaven,
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
God the Holy Ghost,
Holy Trinity, One God,
Father from Whom are all things,
Son through Whom are all things,
Holy Ghost in Whom are all things,
Holy and undivided Trinity,
Father everlasting,
Only-begotten Son of the Father,
Spirit Who preceedeth from the Father and the Son,
Co-eternal Majesty of Three Divine Persons,
Father, the Creator,
Son, the Redeemer,
Holy Ghost, the Comforter,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts,
Who art, Who wast, and Who art to come,
God Most High, Who inhabitest eternity,
To Whom alone are due all honor and glory,
Who alone doest great wonders,
Power infinite,
Wisdom, incomprehensible,
Love unspeakable,

Be merciful,
Spare us, O Holy Trinity.
Be merciful,
Graciously hear us, O Holy Trinity.

Response: deliver us, O Holy Trinity.
From all evil,
From all sin,
From all pride,
From all love of riches,
From all uncleanness,
From all sloth,
From all inordinate affection,
From all envy and malice,
From all anger and impatience,
From every thought, word, and deed contrary to Thy holy law,
From Thine everlasting malediciton,
Through Thy plenteous loving kindness,
Through the exceeding treasure of Thy goodness and love,
Through the depths of Thy wisdom and knowledge,
Through all Thy unspeakable perfections,

We sinners,
Beseech Thee, hear us.

Response: we beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may ever serve Thee alone,
That we may worship Thee in spirit and in truth,
That we may love Thee with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our strength,
That, for Thy sake, we may love our neighbor as ourselves,
That we may faithfully keep Thy holy commandments,
That we may never defile our bodies and souls with sin,
That we may go from grace to grace, and from virtue to virtue,
That we may finally enjoy the sight of Thee in glory,
That Thou wouldst vouchsafe to hear us,

O Blessed Trinity,
We beseech Thee, deliver us.
O Blessed Trinity,
We beseech Thee, save us.
O Blessed Trinity,
Have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy,
Christ, have mercy,
Lord, have mercy.

Our Father (silently). Hail Mary (silently).

V. Blessed art Thou, O Lord, in the firmament of Heaven,
R. And worthy to be praised, and glorious, and highly exalted forever.

Let Us Pray

Almighty and everlasting God, Who hast granted Thy servants in the confession of the True Faith, to acknowledge the glory of an Eternal Trinity, and in the power of Thy majesty to adore a Unity: we beseech Thee that by the strength of this faith we may be defended from all adversity. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
