The "new" religion of the UN is Bahai....they literally have a photo of the UN building in NY on the cover of one of their brochures. I went to two of their meetings. The first, with much older people from Iran who did not follow totalitarian Islam, was a religious meeting and rather interesting, but the second, with younger people, was absolutely 100% liberal politics promulgated by dangerous loonies. The speaker was a Microsoft millionaire who started by praising the good work of Hitlery.

Bahai funnels money into the UN and other worldwide political causes through an ingenious setup by which their religion has no official leader. They are very very scary. And may not be the only supposedly religious political group pushing the UN as God and Salvation.

I remember one of the first times I ever listened to Dr. Laura Schlesinger, a caller was prefacing his question with a few details which ended with "I'm not religious but I am very spiritual," his tone rising with every syllable of the last word.

Dr. Laura deadpanned something to the effect of, "You wanna try that again in English 'cause that last line made no sense whatsoever."

I decided I rather liked Dr. Laura at that moment.

a few years ago, I had a part-time summer job at a warehouse. There was a 50ish woman there, a recent immigrant from Romania, who always sat by herself at lunchtime, reading a book. The book appeared to have a picture of Christ on the front cover and was called something like "The Voice of I AM" I was curious as to what it was, so I Googled the title later on at home. I could see right away just from the links that it was a Theosophist thing, and didn't read any further. Awhile later, I was working at the same table as this woman and she asked me if I was Catholic. I said yes. She said that she used to be Catholic, "but I'm not anymore" in a very odd, almost sinister, tone of voice. She then started asking me what happened at Mass, if we read the Bible at Mass - all very odd questions for someone who used to be Catholic. The whole thing was very strange.

I didn't know much else about Theosophy, but this article was really an eye-opener. I thought it was just more NewAge SewAge; I didn't realize how blatantly occult and Satanic it really is.
