No, I didn’t. But I did think all those thoughts.

I think the significance of Christ breathing on the apostles is often overlooked, and I am glad to see others writing about it. I will sometimes leave my Protestant brothers speechless when I mention this to them.

Mike182d wrote a wonderful reply to a post on Peter’s primacy.

I wrote “There was one other time in the Bible that God breathed on man - when God breathed life into Adam. This was something very special. Christ was creating his priesthood, and clearly giving this priesthood special gifts. These gifts could not have been intended to die with the Apostles, unless Christ was planning a very quick return.”

Mike responded – “Very excellent point! I had never thought of that before. The new "life" that God breathes into the world is the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, unified by the Body and Blood of Our Savior in the mystery of the Holy Eucharist.”

Just beautiful!

This could be the subject of my first book, if Scott Hahn doesn’t beat me to it!

NYER, I am so glad you maintain this list. There are so many wonderful people of faith out there sharing the Spirit. Thanks for all you do.
