Gene Robinson’s Sin
<strike>Wannabe</strike> Newbie Anglican ^ | 4/09/2005 | Mark Marshall

Posted on 04/09/2005 9:06:39 AM PDT by sionnsar

No I’m not talking about *that* sin. I’m talking about a sin far greater than whatever he does with Whatshisname. I’m talking about his lending his support to those friendly baby killers of Planned Parenthood. He’s going to keynote their interfaith prayer breakfast. Excuse me for a moment.

. . .

Sorry. Combining “interfaith,” “prayer,” and Planned Parenthood makes me lose my breakfast.

I’m a very pro-choice kind of guy. So I say Mr. Robinson has a choice. He can repent. Or he can face the judgement that awaits those who use Christ’s name and offices to support abortionists and abortion on demand. To me, it's hard to find a worse sin a bishop can do than to gladly lend his auspices to killing children.

Told you the problem was far deeper than a gay bishop.

A few of the good bishop's reflections:
Little has been written about your stance on reproductive rights. Are you pro-choice?

Absolutely. The reason I love the Episcopal Church is that it actually trusts us to be adults. In a world where everyone tries to paint things as black or white, Episcopalians feel pretty comfortable in the gray areas.

I'm sure there must be individual congregations, and certainly individuals, who are off the deep end about this issue, but for the most part, the stance that we have taken speaks to our people as a mature and adult way of dealing with this — that we protect a woman's right to choose but also say that obviously there are very deep things involved here.

So we encourage our folks to take this very private issue seriously. We urge them to talk to their priests about it and to think through all the questions they might have. And then we absolutely stand behind a woman's right to choose. I think that's a responsible place to be.

Has abortion been a divisive issue in your church?

Not really — surprisingly. From time to time it has come up, but the church has steadfastly resisted efforts to retract in any way our support for a woman's choice.

Any final thoughts?

Planned Parenthood is an organization that I have always admired and respected. It does such extraordinarily fine work, and I'm very happy to be associated with it.

Now we stand for murdering human beings. Great. ECUSA is no longer a church. This makes me want to puke.

Ha. A question of "the province's (APCK's) stand on moral issues" came up at our meeting with our Bishop a week ago. The first thing out of his mouth was "We are pro-life!"

"Planned Parenthood is an organization that I have always admired and respected. It does such extraordinarily fine work, and I'm very happy to be associated with it." - Gene Robinson

"Do not sacrifice your children to Molech." - God.

I dunno, which of the quoted people would I listen to more?
If one wants to proclaim Christ, then they have to decry death.
God gave us lief as you said.
Planned Parenthood, isn't planned or parenthood, it is death.
And wholly unsuited for Christians or Christianity.

I am so tired of all the bitching about Bishop Robinson. Give him a chance. He's a good Christian who has dedicated his life to doing God's work.

How does being a Homo AND a baby killer make him a "Good Christian"? I would love to see you explain that one, but being that you are a one post wonder troll, I know I won't ever see it.... Good bye

You are a meathead

Dead from the neck up. This scumbag has been placed here to help accelerate the death of the traditional family. One more notch in the guy with the pitchfork's bedpost (So to speak).

Go back and play in your room with your jammy bottoms and heated tub of Vaseline.

What did people expect when the Episcopals raised up an imperfect man and a ritually impure man as Bishop, in defiance of Biblical teachings? One cannot have a sodomite as God's priest and still expect him to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven. You may be able to break the time-honored rules about priestly ordination but you can NEVER change the Divine Teachings. DUH.
