Now you see, if you said it the way the Fathers wrote it, there wouldn't be this problem:

"We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father; Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified; Who spoke through the Prophets."

Change the procession of the Holy Spirit and all kinds of strange things happen! :)

The Fathers of Nicea did not write the Creed in English.

Duh. You know better than that.

And while I do prefer the English you use, it has nothing to do with the presence or absence of Filioque:

"We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son; Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified; Who spoke through the Prophets."

See? It works just as well either way.
