3 Days is the norm (but not always) but that is for people who go to a funeral home. There may be a good reason for a day earlier such as no embalming. I doubt they will do that since her two cousins were incorruptibles. Of the 3 seers Sister was the spokesperson. I suspect she will always be remembered the most in the Church calendar.

......and most people who are blind tend to wear dark glasses

And quite a few people who aren't blind wear dark glasses. :-)
By saying this I don't mean to suggest her eyesight was more or less impaired during the last several years.

Old people who are deaf don't need Portuguese translators. The Vatican pulled a fast one on Mel. The nun pictured wasn't 97, blind and deaf.

Let's just hope the funeral is open, honest, and straightforward.

Francisco and Jacinta are incorrupt? I didn't know.

"Named Lucia de Jesus dos Santos when she was born on March 22, 1907, in recent years she suffered from blindness and deafness. "

"How did this blind and deaf nonagenarian ..."

Where is this documented?

That is the picture. She doesn't look 97, blind or deaf. The Sister Lucia in the last picture with the Pope looked more frail.

I wouldn't think so because she was a Cloistered Carmelite nun and they shun public attention.

Jacinta is. I do not know about Francisco.

Even more remarkably, Jacinta had been buried in quick lime to decompose her body due to the disease of the 1919 influenza epidemic.

There is an excellent photo taken many years later during the exhumation of her body of the burlap sack she was buried in being slit open and the top of her face and head show, perfectly preserved.

Wasn't she supposed to witness "The Warning"?

Fr. Gruner is concerned, I believe he is way off base and is most likely the enemy.

I think if you judge the way in which he has been persecuted you can see that the adversary sits in judgment against him, rigging tribunals, contradicting themselves, as liberals do. He's on the right side in this. Whether he's always made the right decisions - nobody always makes the right decisions. It would be interesting to see his take on this, on the events surrounding the announcement, etc.

Did you also notice that the if you add the numbers of todays date - 2+1+3+2+0+0+5 - you get - 13!

Thats awesome! For the record, for those who may not know, the 13th is significant in that, as sassbox and thor related,...................

Our Blessed Mother told Lucia - "I have come to ask you to come here for six months in succession, on the 13th day, at this same hour. Later on, I will tell you who I am and what I want. Afterwards, I will return here yet a seventh time.’

Sister Lucy, please pray to Our Lord and Our Lady for us all.

What was the warning supposed to be like? Someone was talking about a light over Spain that was like a sword just yesterday. I didn't give it too much thought and I am not even sure when this was supposed to have happened. So don't assume too much based on my info.

Gruner relates an incident when he finally was supposed to visit Sister Lucia along with bishops from Brazil and India but was waylaid by the infamous 'translator' Carlos, who then proceeded with the bishops to a fraud meeting with the shill. The result was a carload of you know what.
