Yes, Jeff, they do. I have worked with and heard exactly those words, or 'it was just a blob of tissue' spoken as the woman recovers or is in the process of losing her child. By a Catholic. In a Catholic Hospital. By several people, for many years.
Worse, the baby that was cut out of her mother's uterus after she was murdered was and is called a 'fetus' and did not qualify to be reported on the Amber alert!! It took hard work to get that child announced on Amber alert network because they called it, still call her a 'fetus'.
