An Election Novena
54-day Rosary Novena - 9-9-04 through 11-1-04 (Election Novena web site) ^ | 2004 | Deacon Bob Ellis

It is because Our Heavenly Mother is patroness of the U.S.A. under the title "The Immaculate Conception" and patroness of the Americas under the title "Our Lady of Guadalupe" that we implore her favor during this time of most urgent need for our country.

The favor we ask is that the November 04 election will bless us with leaders who recognize, as did our Founding Fathers, that the Creator is the source of everything that is, that the republic cannot long survive the absence of public morality, and that public morality cannot be maintained without the practice of religion.

Abortion, partial-birth abortion [read infanticide], euthanasia, contraception, sexual license and perversion, threats to the survival of marriage, and the destruction of family life are all manifistations of an absence of public morality.

Organized attacks on religious symbols, freedom of religious expression, prayer in our schools, and the application of moral and religious principles in the political and judicial realms of our public life under the entirely false notion of separation of church and state reveal a complete non-recognition of the truth that public morality cannot be maintained without the practice of religion.

Our mission is therefore to solicit the participation of Catholic Faithful from coast to coast and around the world in a 54-day Rosary Novena for an outcome of the November election which is pleasing to Almighty God, and which provides most effectively for the implementation of His Holy Will in the public and private lives of all.

Our 54-day Rosary Novena will commence on September 9, and conclude on November 1.

"we implore her favor during this time of most urgent need for our country."

I hope many will join you in this effort. The conversion of the United States to the traditional Catholic Faith would indeed be a major step in the right direction - and a most awesome miracle.

Although I have been praying for the Church, one night last week was unusual.

I usually watch the repeat of the EWTN morning mass at 12 midnight (east) and then say a Rosary and then fall asleep.

This particular night, after I said the Rosary, I could not sleep and kept thinking of the priests. The priest who had the EWTN Mass had told the people to pray for priests.

It just kept going over in mind so since that time I have devoted my last Rosary of the night just for the priests.

Start devoting your Rosaries to the priests and things will quickly change.

I believe the Holy Spirit is just waiting for a few more prayers from us all. Pray now!

We might also go over to the thread where Blogger has put in many names in a 24/7 table to pray for the election.

Note: Go to the end of the thread and check the latest table!
