I agree with your assessment. In addition, the new complex ideas he has come up with still cannot do away with the possibility that God created it!!
These "geniuses" often turn out to be morons. His "obsessive desire to disprove God" might stem from the fact that in recent years he divorced his wife and married his nurse, who is now abusing him according to court documents.
