The Jebbies REALLY want to twist the knife in Fessio's back, don't they? Note that it's the Ignatius Institute which is sponsoring the malefactors and termites.

I've got one thing to say to this:

CAMPION, .... and AVE MARIA!

It's expensive to use good material - marble, oak (for pews), granite -....

And isn't that just the point? Nothing but the best for the worship and adoration of the Almighty and Awe-inspiring God!

I always thought so. But I keep hearing about how much it costs.

Goes back a way I suppose. King Solomon's downfall began when he built the Temple to the Lord .... last. It took 7 years. His Palace took 12 years (?), started before the Temple. Screwed-up priorities.

St. Francis of Asisi (sp?) and Bl. Mother Teresa, both who vowed exceptional poverty for their respective Orders, required nothing but the best, regardless of cost, for the altars in their churches/monasteries, etc.

Could you offer up prayers of thanksgiving and fortitude for the Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre the Most Reverend William Murphy who is fighting the good fight with VOTF-LI?

Most certainly, my friend. Prayers on the way.

Bishops are human too, they need our support as well. It really helps when the faithful would send email and letters of support to the bishop and be with him at the battle ground, engage the enemies and take some heat of him. He can't do it all.

In our case, we have both overt and covert actions in place. It's very effective.

I don't think so. It seems to be called "The Cathedral of Christ the Light."

http://www.christthelightcathedral.org/

Reading some of the stuff there makes me a little concerned, though.

But, then again, that was all done under the previous bishop.

I just peeked in the doors, but the door handles were the heads of rams, snakes and dragons. That scared me.

It should. :-(

Oh, no.

I hope the new bishop can get that back to the drawing board, somehow.

That San Francisco picture looks better than it actually is.

It is truly UGLY as sin. Go see it during day time and you'll know what I mean.

The locals has a nickname for it -- Maytag Cathedral.

Why? Because it looks like the agitator at the center of a washing machine......LOL

Our Oakland cathedral to be built is another sad story. It is a bad inheritance from the old flunky bishop. It was going to look like a beached whale, with major input by the modernists of course.

The new bishop Vigneron could only do so much with his hands tied, but he managed to have the original plan modified by another design firm. Will see how it turns out.

Yes. And then I feel an indescribable sadness.

The message such a monstrosity sends is that tradition is of no value.

Which pretty much goes without saying for many of the people involved in such ventures.

Yes, the Jebbies are bad news everywhere. They wanted to cut Fessio off from Ignatius Press too.

Campion College in SF is doing fine.

The new Ave Maria will have a strong publishing house I'd imagine.
