WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Coleen Rowley, the Minneapolis FBI agent who accused bureau headquarters of bungling chances to foil the Sept. 11 attacks, is criticizing the Bush administration for "whittling away our civil liberties."

In an opinion piece published in today's Star Tribune, Rowley takes issue with U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft's assertion in a Twin Cities speech last month that America "is freer today than at any time in the history of human freedom."

"Well, this American disagrees!" Rowley wrote.

John Ashcroft is a decent man being targeted by another government-lackey Lib who has been well-fed at the taxpayer trough.

If Rowley really cared about freedom, she would be critiquing the Clintonesque judges and overpaid Liberal government employees who rule this country and still dominate every nook and cranny of our bloated bureaucracy.

First, no one cares what she thinks. Second, she's right - the Patriot Act is deeply, deeply flawed, and should be tossed.

Right... This "dirtbag" had Zacharias Moussaoui and was denied a search warrant by the FBI's office in Washinton. They edited her search warrant request and removed information from French Intelligence that suggested Moussaoui was connected to International Terrorism.

Meanwhile, not one person has been fired for 9/11 in which 3000 american died, but I think it's intereting that you think she should be the one to go.

It's fairly typical of the GOP/government-worshippers around here. To them, "security" means everyone shutting up and doing what they're told.

I just emailed the writer & said Coleen Rowley should resign or be fired as she obviously cannot follow the law as passed by congress in the USA Patriot Act. I said it is terrorist sympathizers and pacifists like her that contributed to 9/11. I said she is no hero, she is a disgrace to her profession.

This problem didn't just crop up, the liberal infestation into government jobs has been going on for decades. Rumsfield had a duce of a time with the Pentagon. The State Dept, no words describe it, the INS, the IRS. D.C. is broken and I don't see any fixing it.

Bush pushed to be able to fire or contract out government work to get rid of the leeches that sabotage every Republican administration. That's a point in his column. He tried.
