I agree....Someone who wants to be President lowers himself to take cheap shots at a radio talk show host. Real classy, Kerry, you steaming pile. Just throwing some red meat to his scurvy base.

I'm not saying he has a "big problem". The media and that French guy running for president who oooks like Lurch is.

So is Rush going to address these reports? I'm listening so far, but no hint that this is going to be coming up. Hopefully Rush has some good news for us.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
It is possible to read into this story as a metaphor for his accusers. The lion is the accusers/liberals, Rush is Siegfreid and the lady with the big hair is the drugs.
His comparison to criminals are criminals and the rehab doesn't work was interesting commentary. Its not exactly the posistion that someone who is about to be outed as a drug addict would verbalize.

And they all seem to be trying to outdo each other with who can display the least class or taste!
To: anniegetyourgun
You are right, frm Jay Leno its funny. From a future president, its a cheap shot and improper.

Rush is not the one pointing out how childish Kerry's comment was - I was. I'm sure Rush can take it AND dish it out. However, he's not running for president. The 9 jerks running for the lib/dem nomination are the epitome of unfunny.

the news on the pills allegation has been strangely silent. As it should be, just be patient. The details will become available at the appropriate time. I must admit, the waiting is driving me bonkers.

Well, last night's thread was fascinating! Although I heard part of Rantel's show, I missed this thread. Thanks for the links.

The worst: Katie Couric was asked how she felt staying up all night for the Calif. recall. She made some joke about how she felt great bec. she sat next to Rush on the plane and "he gave me some vitamins." Then she made a face.
What a little b*%$h.

Here Rush goes again. He is raising the issue of how far the media is willing to go to dredge up stuff from the past and question where else are the rat press acting for DNC.
If I didn't know better, Rush is sending signals like mad to his attackers.

You know, for many years Jerry Lewis was horribly addicted to PERCODAN- he once bragged that he bought them from someone who stole drums of 25,000 tablets from the loading dock of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
How many people know that Jerry used to take enough PERCODAN to kill the average horse every single day?
Should we care? I do- I am sorry that his addiction ruined his health, and he appears to be in the late stages of kidney and liver failure. This is sad, not funny, and I won't be attacking him here or anywhere else for his problem. (I believe he bercame addicted because of a painful back problem caused by his goofy pratfalls, etc- not recrreationally).
Drug addiction is really a medical problem, and although I'm probably one of the most "conservative" people on this thread, I think it should be treated as such. That includes the privacy restrictions that attend other sorts of serious medical conditions.
Recreational drug use is another story- but the dicussion would take up enough bandwidth to sink FR!

From a future wannabe president and democrate liberal, cheap and improper are all part of the package.

Rush addressed the Donovan McNabb story during the second hour last week. I also believe he did not disclose his hearing loss at the opening of the program. Perhaps he will do the same thing about the drug story as Drudge indicates.

You are really out of touch with reality -- Kerry is a candidate for President not Jay Leno or a talk show host!
What part of that do you not understand -- Kerry just showed the lack of class he has but seems you missed that completely.
These debates are no more than Attack Forums on the President and Republicans or don't you see that either!

If rush makes jokes about Kerry, Kerry can return the favor. BFD. I'm the last person to defend JFK, but some people here are making a mountain out of a mole hill and are playing to the stereotype that conservatives have no sense of humor, but you missed that completely!

Good comment- perhaps opiate addiction is not really as dangerous as we have led to believe...
I don't plan to try it, though. (Unless I'm passing a kidney stone- ouch- or having a root canal done...)
