"We aren't trying to interfere in the internal politics of the United States, but the new governor should know that whatever violation or setback to the rights of Mexicans living in California will be denounced in the Mexican Congress." In other words, "unless you violate your oath of office from the 'git-go' we will say bad things about you. So take that!"
Again, what part of "illegal" don't they understand? Oh, yeah, it's Mexico - "illegal" is a way of life - and the main source of income for them.

Round them up - ship them home, Rawhide. I would support any politician with the 'nads that takes that stand. When they go for medical treatment, give them a bandaid & one-way ticket home. Traffic violation - give them a ride to the border. Anyone employing an illegal - goes with them.
It's really quite simple - America for Americans - get your illegal butts home!!!

Note the new rhetoric, though. Proponents no longer use any phrase that refers to the legal status of non-citizens in the U.S. "Illegal aliens" became "undocumented workers", but now they're all "immigrants", with no differentiation between legal and non-legal immigrants (or immigrants vs. visitors, either, for that matter). So now to answer them, you have to come out against "immigrants", and there are a lot of Americans who are the children or grandchildren of legal immigrants.
