Piper Louise was born at 10:58 AM MST, weighing in at 6 lbs 1oz, a very healthy 20.5 inches long (tall?) with a full head of black hair, a dimpled chin, and great lungs!

Mom and daughter (and Dad!) are doing very well, and are expected to come home tomorrow.

Both sets of grandparents all flustered!

I like your birdbath every morning. I have a real one that I start the day with and mine has the most beautiful cardinals. I have a few blue birds, too.

I have a lot of birds! And the hated squirrels! (which I enjoy watching play-- but never told "you know who.")

Did you see the picture of the squirrel we are hand raising? One of my son's classmates brought him to us. Fell out of his nest.

We didn't get too much of a variety of birds this year. Last year we had more. Last year we were blessed with an entire flock of goldfinches for a few weeks.

Hey,MEG33...yes, my little feline Princess is still with me...she's taking her rest in the back room at the moment...quite a wonderful little angel she is.

She'll be headed back to her own home sometime next week, I reckon...as her human has just about finished laying down the floor in the main part of his house.

It's been a real gift, this time with her...)

Good thing I'm so tough, otherwise her sweet beautifulness mighta gotten to me and then I'd be missing her once she's gone.
