NOT SO INNOCENT (JOURNALISTS)
New York Post ^ | 10/08/03 | RALPH PETERS

October 8, 2003 -- ONE of the whopping lies of our time is that journalists are simply innocent bystanders with no responsibility for the outcome of events. In fact, our own media may turn out to be the crucial variable in Iraq. They've already made a success of post-modern terrorism as surely as Colonel Tom Parker made Elvis a star.

Brilliant article. I am having flashbacks to my tour of duty in Vietnam 35 years ago -- same-same coverage of soldiers and war. Some things never change, embedding or no embedding.

We're at war.

We're at war with radical Islam and with the Left.

Journalists have declared their allegiance in this fight.

You are exactly correct about the journalists' allegiance. Their allegiance is certainly not to the United States of America. American jounalists are encouraging the enemies of our country. Can someone offer a sane explanation for this?

Excellent find kattracks! I wish I could believe that some reporters distorting the truth right now would listen to this condemnation...

I recently read an article about TV media that mentioned that we need to remember that every second of the news is a scripted, edited event.

This article can also be connected to "LEAKES".

What covering the press uses "THEIR" right to break laws.

There is no doubt in my mind that the "press" who got the leaks know darn well that they cannot be connected to President Bush. We would know who did the leaking if a connection could be made to President Bush.

The key question that not one of them will answer is WHO sent Mr. Wilson to Niger. This being the case it makes that bit of "NEWS" left out of focus and totally ignored.

So how is it a "FREE PRESS" when their own deeds cause harm to a "FREE NATION"? There is no comparison to an individual giving ones life to maintain a "FREE NATION" and individual gaining for oneself to plant lies for their own beliefs.

There stories have caused harm to this nation and some in the military. There are no ethics in those who use their "right" to orchestrate events that cause harm.

To an extent few journalists will admit, terror as we know it depends on the media as its accomplice, amplifying the terrorist's deeds and shaping successes out of terrorist failures - the opposite of the media's approach to American efforts.

This bears repeating and bold text.

Can someone offer a sane explanation for this?

I think I can.

The first thing to understand is that individual journalists work for and must reflect the positions of the media owners. Ownership of the media is concentrated in the hands of a very small number of people making them truly elite. These media elite are playing for a big prize -- power. They want the power of the United States.

To get power, they must weaken our nation – our patriotism, our religion, our morality, and our individual strength which comes from economic independence and family ties and connections to community and freedom and individual liberties, etc. They also need puppet politicians to follow orders after these media elite get them into office.

And why would these politicians do their bidding? Look at how the media keep them in line.

journalists are simply innocent bystanders with no responsibility for the outcome of events.

This observation is well worth the repeating. The difference between a reporter and a journalist is that a reporter reports the news whilst the journalist stars in the news.
