BTW, The Democrat talking head on ABC just said the recall and vote for Arnold was "not a rejection of Democratic policy, but rather a repudiation of Gray Davis the man."

It is pretty harsh to turn your back on a member of your party during a national broadcast, on what has to be a very painful night, just because he is no longer useful. What a despicable, transparent effort to save the Democratic party's image. On the other hand, it is nice to see a Democrat evince such blatant, self-serving blind party devotion, cynicism, and personal piling on, which hopefully won't be lost on moderates.

The Democrats HAVE to cast him to the wind because he lost. Not only did he lose, but he was KICKED OUT. The rats are jumping ship, but it may just sink so fast they can't get off the hulk.
