It reminds me of some moron in our Tenn state legislature that argued that the "loss" of revenue from issuing illegal aliens drivers licenses.

One of the things that killed me was when I heard that the tripling of the car tax was classed as a state "spending cut" because the state was no longer "spending" the money via our "refunds" (= our not paying the tax in the first place). That thinking is so convoluted I almost can't explain it! :)
