This is a false assumption.

Your assumption is obviously based on something. What is it?Is it based on polls, which indicate McClintock would win if Arnold was not in the race, or are they based on your own gut instinct?

There are actually a good number of facts and data behind this.

The big gorilla undeniable fact is that Demonrats are in a strong majority in CA. Therefore the only way to win is to win over a good percent of Demonrats. A strongly held Conservative position does not work with these Demonrats. (I wish it would, but it doesn't.)

Obviously the polls show that McC never got more than about 18%. That won't do it.
