Keyes is a very good preacher of morality. He is a total failure in the political area. We should not take advice from people who are failures in the area that they are giving advice.

Keyes bases his argument on there being another workable alternative to voting for Arnold for Republicans. This is a false assumption. Voting for someone who will not win is simply voting for the worse alternative.

McC is a good man, but he is not as pure as Keyes makes him out to be. Taking money from the Indian Casinos, taking the side of Gray & Bustamonte on several occasions, going back on his word, making his own self interest and pride paramount, are all indications of serious flaws.

This is a false assumption.

Your assumption is obviously based on something. What is it?Is it based on polls, which indicate McClintock would win if Arnold was not in the race, or are they based on your own gut instinct?

He is a total failure in the political area

And that's why he and his followers have to brand the rest of us as evil.

Their very existence depends on it.

Keyes and other "fire-eating" conservatives believe that they are called to warn, admonish, and exclaim the pending doom rather than merely to win elections. They are modern-day "Jeremiahs" in a fallen world warning of the coming calamity, and few will listen. They feel that they are called to warn, not to be "successful" in something as mundane as an election.

LOL...such ignorance writ large.

Keyes was UN Ambassador when Reagan was President. His moral code was instrumental in leveraging the morality and virtuous courage of Pope John Paul. Together, these three great men stood shoulder to shouder while their ultimate goal for humanity was pursued; the systematic destruction of the most evil regime on earth; the Soviet Union.

How many dead babies is McClintock responsible for? NONE. Arnie is a cheerleader for the slaughter of little children so long as it paves his way to power to stripmine hapless and gullible Gollyvornia taxpayers. He ought to be man enough to pick on someone his own size.

Your third paragraph is weaker tea than Boston Harbor nowadays.

Lincoln lost time and time again until he finally
got elected President.

By your standard people in the 1850s should have
ingnored Lincoln.

Winning or losing an election does not in and of
itself prove anything about a person esp. since
so many of the things that control the outcome
of an election are not under the control of a candidate.
So many times bad candidates who run poor campaigns
win anyway and good candidates lose who ran good
campaigns.

You should deal with the points Dr. Keyes raises
instead of trying to dismiss him outright.

Why do you say this is a false assumption. With the very first CNN polls, "conservatives" jumped on Arnold's bandwagon, saying he was the only viable candidate. This is the french version of warfare: surrender before you see the enemy.
