Jews for Morality (JfM), a national organization of Orthodox Jewish rabbis and laymen, today announced their strong support for Tom McClintock for Governor of California.

Rabbi Yehuda Levin, executive director of JFM said: "Tom McClintock is the only viable candidate who wholeheartedly stands for decency and morality.

"Mr. Schwartzenegger and Mr. Bustamante, the other major candidates, have made it clear that they support the further destruction of American society through the promotion of homosexuality and abortion." –end– JfM Endorses McClintock for California Governor

"When you consider that Schwarzenegger supports taxpayer funding of all abortions, homosexual rights, domestic partnerships and homosexual adoptions, this is not consistent with what it means to be a Republican in California," Thomasson said. "Arnold is out of step with a wide majority of Republicans in this state who want their family values protected."

A spokesman for the California Republican Party, which endorsed Schwarzenegger on Monday, didn't return calls seeking comment. The Moral Issues in the California Election

….a USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll released earlier this week shows that McClintock is not exactly unknown, nor is he as negatively viewed as either Schwarzenegger or Bustamante. Consider the following results of a poll of probable voters: Is the Party Establishment Right About the Recall?

Until now, says a report by Agence France-Presse, the conventional view was that obsessive celebrity worship was limited to a tiny fraction of the population. The study, however, found there is a "sliding scale" between those who follow stars for fun and those who are seriously pathological.WorldNetDaily: Research: 1/3 of us worship celebrities

Freedom is a fragile thing and is never
more than one generation away from
extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must
be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom, and then
lost it, have never known it again."

Tom McClintock for Governor

Alan Keyes Endorses Tom McClintock for Governor

Senator Tom McClintock, the candidate your political bosses don’t want you to consider, has embodied throughout his political life the dignity and seriousness of the citizen vocation.

He is acknowledged by friend and foe alike to be the people’s champion of fiscal responsibility in the California State Senate. He has foreseen and warned against the crisis we now face for over a decade. His knowledge and experience in issues of state finance are unmatched – and make him the only candidate qualified to face this crisis.

Tom McClintock's principled and consistent stands on the other issues of permanent concern to this free people are well known. He is a generous and wise defender of the idea of citizenship, of equality before the law without regard for race, of private property rights and free enterprise, of the right and duty of responsible citizens to keep and bear arms.

He has been a constant defender of the marriage-based, two-parent family, of educational liberty, and of the crucial connection between moral character and liberty.

Above all, he has consistently grounded his policy judgments in the undying principles of the Declaration of Independence. Unlike either of his opponents, he is a champion of all the inalienable rights of man, including the most fundamental – the right to life.

I dont know which is the worse case of Puke Politics, the stuff that Gray Davis dumps out the final weekend of his campaigns or the nonsense that Baldwin pumps out weekly. I havent seen a single editorial of his that Ive ever thought made any sense. The guy is a kook who should be on his meds.

A 1% difference in favorable ratings. So much for "unelectable" Tom. SOP would be to slime the poll takers and deny the data.

The Republican Party has conservative, moderate, and liberal voters and politicians. The largest group will prevail. Same for GOP-leaning independents who are conservative, moderate, or liberal. The largest group will prevail. That's the way it is. Maybe the combination of maderates and liberals far outnumber the number of conservatives.

Schwarzenegger Candidacy Proves Republican Party's Lack of Commitment To Conservatism

OBTW, Chuck Baldwin is a complete idiot, best illustrated by this typical article of his:

>>>Writing for The New York Times, Frank Rich correctly observed, "It is hilarious to watch conservatives, the same conservatives who often decry phony Hollywood liberals and their followers, betray their own inviolate principles to bask in Arnold's hulking movie-star aura so that they might possibly gain a nominal Republican victory in the bargain."

I don't care for the liberal bullhorn Frank Rich, but on this one issue, he nailed it good. Couldn't have said it better myself.

As a conservative Republican, it was sad to see my fellow members of the GOP in California selling out their principles and convicitons to assure that a liberal becomes the next governor. In pure political terms, the idea for the conservative GOP platform agenda, is crystal clear. Conservatives want to defeat the political agenda of liberals and we can't accomplish that by supporting and voting for a liberal like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger Candidacy Illustrates The Republican Party's Lack Of Commitment To Conservatism

Actually, it illustrates the state of Californias lack of commitment to conservatism. McClintock is clearly the better man, but he hasn't a prayer in CA at this time. One has to think of Arnold as a left coast Guiliani.

A party that cannot be flexible enough to win through incrementalism will forever be condemned to watching from the sidelines. This is the only way to get our foot in the door and show the people of CA that conservatism is not the demon the liberals claim it to be.

If the Republican Party wants to ever be otherwise than an ineffective minority party, it has to attract the majority, and that means moderates. Hard-right conservatives are a minority and always will be so. Just a touch of pragmatism, a little cream in the coffee.

The author raises some excellent points here, but he also makes a common mistake by making a direct connection between the Republican Party and conservative politics. The Republican Party is "conservative" only in a sense that the GOP is the dominant party in areas of the country that tend to be more conservative. Once you get out of those areas and into the "blue states," all bets are off. A Republican politician or successful political candidate in New York or California, by and large, is almost indistinguishable from his or her Democratic counterpart.

This is the sole reason why I refuse to register for any political party even though my political philosophy closely corresponds to the "official" Republican Party platform -- I got sick and tired of being in a position where I could not possibly support a GOP candidate for public office.

I agree with the Baldwin, but Rush has NOT endorsed Schwartenegger and has stated he is disturbed by those that do.

You don't have to read Chuck Baldwin or anybody else to realize that something is wrong when conservative commentators like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh rally behind a political and ideological liability like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Dr. Keyes and the Jews for Morality organization were right in endorsing McClintock.

What does a man profit by gaining the world while losing his soul in the process? Sean and Rush, in the end, look like silly GOP apologists sticking to the myth that the importance lies in winning elections at any cost. Yeah, McClintock is a decent guy, he is a genuine conservative, but he doesn't have a chance, blah, blah, blah.

So, what good will a Schwarzenegger governorship do to conservative values in California, and America, for that matter? Absolutely none! Therefore, we have nothing to gain and much to lose.

Here in the Valley, the most amazing thing has happened. What used to be a place where conservative Republicans flourished - and we were proud - has now become a place where the leaders have sold their souls to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Our GOP Central Committee Chair, Jane Parsons, is like a love sick school girl. Bill Jones and Mike Der Manouel Jr. are acting like star struck groupies. These people, mind you, used to be pro life/pro family staunch conservative Republicans.

IT'S FRIGGIN' EMBARRASSING!!!

I "walked for Tom" McClintock on Saturday so I can sleep well.

You boy cannot win....no matter how many posts you put up...no matter who endorses McClintock...no matter how hard all of you fight the wind mills with your swords, you cannot change reality...If McClintock was the chose of most in California, he would be leading in the polls...it is just that simple.

The fact that the GOP threw itss endorsements behind Arnold, is not due to a total abandoning of conservatism, but an acknowledgment of reality....face the truth...stop fighting wind mills with your swords....you are not going to change reality.

Termite the Gropinator admires the Kennedys and even married one. Bubba Clintoon's mentor was John F. Kennedy, and he also admired the Kennedy brood. The Kennedy men are notorious womanizers. So it's not surprising that Termite the Gropinator and Clintoon have no respect for women. Does anyone remember the infamous former Sen. Bob Packwood and his lack of respect for women? The Gropinator, like Clintoon-Packwood-Kennedy men, is just interested in how fast a woman can spread her legs for him.

The Republican Party no more desires conservatives in political office than the Democrat Party does, and people who think otherwise are only deceiving themselves.

The Republican Party is no different from the Democratic Party. Both are primarily interested in political power. The RP can not counted on to maintain any values all by itself. It's the membership that keeps it in line. If the RP can ensure political power by moving left, it will do so and abandon conservatism in a heartbeat if it means more power.
