I don't think there is such a thing as a hit man who ISN'T a slimebag. And think of all the hired-killing cases that have been won--and each of those must have contained testimony from a slimebag. And other, non-murder cases, too, in which the only witnesses were slimebags, perhaps b/c the crime took place in a druggie neighborhood, or whatever.

Awww, c'mon Anse. Scottie didn't pay them with a check. And he can admit to putting $300 in the box to pay them for the car theft, but for some unearthly reason, they came into his home, overpowered him, tied him to the kitchen chair, kidnapped Laci, demanded ransom, gave him 2 weeks to raise the money, threatened to kill Laci if he talked to the police, etc. etc.
