Wheel of Fortune confirms no one is watching CNN
ABC

Was anyone else watching Wheel of Fortune Thursday night?
The phrase on the board was completely exposed except for two letters. It looked something like this:
CNN ANCHOR _OL_ BLITZER
What happened next was hilarious. The contestant guessing letters couldn't figure it out and guessed "D". Now that's pretty bad, but it gets worse, the next contestant didn't know what it is either and guessed "S".
After the second person couldn't figure out the puzzle, host Pat Sajak (who has a show on FOX News) chimed in "well, I guess that confirms the ratings!

ROTFL! I don't watch game shows, but that confirms what I pretty much always believed anyway about those who do. Out of deference to FReeper game show devotees, I will keep my opinion to myself. Pretty funny post though. Thanks.

I was at a friends place once and he was watching "Championship" Jeopardy. The three "top" players competing were all men.
Under the subject of "Kipling" the hint "A woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a _____" came up.
Now, this is probably the most famous sexist statement ever made...and all three of the contestants missed it.
But what made it funny was Trebek's reaction: he couldn't contain his disdain for these three guys. He stared at them with his mouth hanging and slowly - with a condescending tone - said
"Smoke. A good cigar is a smoke......................gentlemen."

Wheel of Fortune is a fun show, more now than it was ... there are at least seven puzzles to solve, and in the current season which started a few weeks ago, the puzzles have jumped up a noth or two in difficulty. It's a joy to watch Mr. Sajak's deft handling of the flow of the game, he is very sensitive to the nuances of personality. I notice he usually gives subtle, yet discernable clus as to what letters to pick in the final round, whether to pick up the "Bankrupt/500" wedge (which could result in either winning a car or going bankrupt), whether to spin again or solve, and some others.

I've just never been much of a fan of game shows. I find them annoying. A matter of personal preference I reckon.
