I'm with you and confess I was ignorant about it until I read that Harvey Milk was also a school for the transgendered.

What mad doctor would set a child of 13-17 or so on this path?

Remember this the next time someone points out that doctors know best. They have a healers capability, certainly, but they don't own the moral high ground.

I think you're wrong. The media treatment of the gay lifestyle has gone so far beyond "acceptance" and "tolerance", and so far into "celebration" and "recruitment", that I suspect there's tons of liberal parents out there who would agree to such a course. Think about what a great conversation maker it would make for them at cocktail parties. You have to realize we are talking about a political ideology so narcissistic and so wrapped up in victimology that they probably -would- offer up their kids to this kind of course just to avoid the stigma of having a child who is just another "white male opressor".

Gay advocates cheer Harvey Milk's decision and say the school's sports teams will help do for homosexual high school kids what Jackie Robinson did for African-Americans 50 years ago - break down barriers.

The fundamental distinction being that Jackie Robinson was breaking down barriers where they should have been broken down. The Gay Advocates want to make the self-absorbed, sex-obsessed, un-natural appear natural. Not at all the same thing.
