The sentiment of the poem is what impressed me, and there are no "girly" poems! Some of the greatest poets have been very sentimental. Both my parents died this past year and his poem brought them to mind. It was nice of him to share it. You could post some of yours. I've had some published, too.

On education he refuses to consider any plan that would allow vouchers or anything like it.

If you want taxes raised just pass vouchers. There is only ONE way for vouchers to work and that is the total elimination of public schools and that is not going to happen in our lifetime. Otherwise, the only thing you will get is taxes for both. If you want your kids in private school pay for it I don't want to be taxed twice for it.

Sentimentality, in and of itself, isn't always bad; however, badly written garbage is badly written garbage.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I bet 100s, if not 1,000s of things can and do remind you of your parents.

I have no intentions of posting my work here. This isn't the place to do so ( even though FR has a " POETS' CORNER " now )and I fail to see anything other than self aggrandizment, as his reason for posting such billious, " girly " , claptrap in response to my asking him, repeatedly, to answer questions, which were asked civiliy and ignored.
