Former police officer sentenced in sex case
FORT WORTH (AP) A former Haltom City policeman was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting a teen.
John Ross Ewing, 29, was convicted Wednesday of three counts of sexual assault of a child.
Investigators said Ewing was off duty when he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old male he met in a program intended to give students a chance to learn about law enforcement.
The Explorer program, which Haltom City officials suspended last year, operated in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America.
Ewing resigned from the Haltom City police department in August 2002.

Wow. A cop AND a child molester.
Prison life doesn't look too rosy for this guy.

This report must be false. Everyone knows that when we threw open the door to "The Big Tent," and shoved out our own to make "Room At The Table," that this type of creature would not do such things. Hence, to repeat this article must be reporting an egregious falsehood!

John Ross Ewing, 29, was convicted Wednesday of three counts of sexual assault of a child. J.R. Ewing? In Texas? Dallas? Oh well, the other poster is right. Prison will not be good for him, so he will be locked up in pc his whole term.

Just another instance of those nasty Boy Scouts trying to keep clean, young, fresh meat from the noble and sensitive faggots.

This is not the fictitious John Ross Ewing, who was the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing on CBS' "Dallas" program, 1978-91. This is the real John Ross Ewing.

Maybe TX should send him to the Netherlands where he can get acceptance and rehabilitation. Otherwise, TX may not be able to protect him from other prisoners.

This is the real John Ross Ewing.Yep, I figured as much. What I said still applies. He will be in pc his whole term.

Are you saying that the former cop John Ross Ewing is still in prison -- falsely accused? What is the latest on this case?
