"Telephone service can not be a one-way street."
You are absolutely right, but we also have a right to our privacy. If we can place signs of 'no solicitation" outside of our homes and our businesses, why can't we do it with our telephones?
Hey, just let the telemarketer give me his home phone number since the service is not a one way street. I will be happy to call and pester the crap out of him during his family time.

Your sign is only a symbol of your wishes; it does not have the authority of law or does not constitute a contract with others.
