Federal Do Not Call List (Time to Freep)

In a nut shell, I pay for my phone line, this makes it a private number and the bottom line is that I do not wish to be bothered by those who wish to disturb everyone under God's green earth at the most inconvenient times. If I did, I would not go through the expense of having my number unlisted.
I propose that those Freepers who feel the same as me, rally together, find the name and number of the Judge who placed this order on hold..and call him/her at all hours of the day and night. Perhaps then s/he will gain a better understanding of the way we feel.
After all, if s/he supports the telepest's rights to disturb us at home during our family time, then s/he should be more than willing to accept the same..right?
Let's do it!!

You wrote, "You are absolutely right, but we also have a right to our privacy. If we can place signs of 'no solicitation" outside of our homes and our businesses, why can't we do it with our telephones? "
Your sign is only a symbol of your wishes; it does not have the authority of law or does not constitute a contract with others.

As long as you pay for your phone bill, it is yours.
Telemarketers aren't even the government, so they have less right to determine what comes across our phone lines than our elected government.
To be secure in your own person implies your right to privacy.

Exactly jigsaw. Telemarketers should have to pay to use our phone lines--kinda like a payphone.

Yes, you can if I grant you permission. What is your point?
