Ordinarily, states concern themselves with issues involving residency, not citizenship, which is a federal concern. But this year alone, initiatives requiring illegal immigrants to pay out-of-state tuition and requiring proof of legal residence for driver's license applications have sprung up in Virginia, Mississippi, Georgia, Massachusetts and other states. We should also have the citizenship status and validity of visa / length of stay on the driver's license. That way a legal resident cant overstay and get to keep driving.
"The Illegal Alien Lobby will throw a fit. " yeah. btw, who pays the bills ofr these folks?

More than 6 million ITIN cards have been issued since 1996, but only 2 million tax forms have been filed using the ITINs. The status of the other 4 million ITINs is not known, but immigration-reform advocates say illegal immigrants are using the numbers to skirt U.S. immigration, tax and fraud laws.>>>>>
Looks like our IRS allows TWO-THIRDS of these illegals to *choose* NOT to file their yearly income taxes.........
Wonder if the IRS would *allow* TWO-THIRDS of our CITIZENS to go without filing taxes every year ??

Fact: Within the life time of an illegal immigrant living in the U.S. they will have spent $89,000.00 per immigrant more then they gave back in taxes. Add it up....12 MILLION illegal immigrants X $89,000.00 each = 1.BILLION dollars of our tax money. NO wonder our schools are going to pot.
