(((((Aqua))))) - thank you for bringing us Military Monday.
It gives us time to reflect together what we share with Our Lord daily.
Father, please place Your bloodline of protection around our Military Members. Protect them as they protect us with their selfless acts. We also ask that all of our Military Members, past and present, be given the thanks and recognition that they so deserve. And finally, we ask that the departed may be resting comfortably in Your loving embrace, close to You as their just reward for paying the ultimate price for our freedoms.
We ask these things as Your humble servants, in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Good morning! Just got back from vacation in Virginia Beach. We got to go to the air show at Oceana NAS. I had never been to something like that and it was amazing. The Blue Angels were there and they were something to watch! We were fortunate to be standing near some people who had been to many airshows and they were able to tell us lots of info about the Blue Angels and their flying maneuvers.
Turned out that there was a keel-laying ceremony for the new aircraft carrier, the George H.W. Bush, while we were there. That was invitation-only but it was cool to hear about it on the news.
Norfolk will be the home of a bunch of new super-Hornet jets. Seems a bunch of locals have their knickers in a twist about it since those aircraft make noise. My opinion is that jet noise is the sound of freedom!
Tropical storm Henri made his presence felt (those darned french) and Isabel is coming. So, we left a day early. I think the cats were glad we came home early (LOL)!
Now it's back to reality for me!

Greetings, Finest !!
Here is the kind of story we love to see - -
Home at last
Marine 1st Sgt. Jose Henao of 1/2 Charlie Company,
Task Force Tarawa, plays with his daughter Isabella
June 24 at his home in Camp Lejeune, N.C. He has been
reunited with his daughter after being deployed in Iraq.
Photojournalist Joe Raedle documented the company's return after covering Task Force Tarawa's critical role
in the Iraq war.
God bless each and every man and woman in service for our country,
and all those dear to them.
