Good afternoon/evening, Finest Sistahs and FRiends. Have been computerless since lunch, and just got it back, hooked up, all tuned up, and still the mailroom won't open when I click on it the first time. It's very frustrating, and I wondered if ANYONE else is having this problem. I have no problem with the forum, nor any other site....but the mailroom simply will not open without timing out once EVERY time. The second click will usually open it. This has been going on for months now.
Having company all weekend and no computer all day means that tomorrow will have to be a play/nothing day. I am sorry.

Occasionally my mail will hang up, but since I have a dsl connection, it will usually open eventually. It is probably not anything that has to do with your computer. It's more likely a problem with the mail program in combination with your dial-up connection.

I met the Blue Angels Pilots in Savannah many years ago. Got some VIP passes for my son - Matthew was thrilled to meet those guys.

Thank you for making the effort to tell us about the time that your husband spent in the Service. The things that went on over in Nam were horrible and we need to understand that it could get that bad in this country if we don't stay vigilant against the enemies of freedom.
To: dutchess
Hi Dutchess, hope you had a productive day at work. Wish you could spend more time here.
To: Billie
I've also started to have trouble getting into the mail room. Always seems to happen when I'm in a hurry!
Sorry you weren't able to get anything ready for tomorrow, had been curious to see what you worked up.
To: dixie sass
Hi, dixie -- batten down those hatches, y'heah?!
Looks as if Isabel will huff and puff at your location as she sweeps by....
Is your son still there with you?

Are you doing a picnic report? We're still waiting on that tri-tip recipe. lol
To: LadyX
Yes, he's still here. Thank heavens. We should get some of the feeder bands, I don't know. I still don't have a good feeling about this one...

It was good to see what was Myrtle Beach Air Force Base with a new life and purpose, and the school in which I taught used as a college branch campus.
Life moves on and changes; this time for the better....
Best of all, the military is now treated with respect, as always was deserved.

Thank You, LadyX for sharing about your husbands military service. Always enjoy your interesting and informative posts.
Thank You, aqua for sharing your email, I have sent it on to family and friends.
Billie, I have the same problems with mail on Free Republic, thought it was my computer.
Calpernia, hope you all had a good time on Saturday.
Tonight I watched on Lifetime, an Intimate Portrait of Laura Bush. It was a wonderful documentary. Laura Bush is first class in my book!
As always, thank you for Military Monday.
My Prayers are with our Military, past and present.

Good evening to all our finest hostesses. Another fine thread for our finest military. I'm going to work on a piece concerning a battle that took place here where I live in 1774. It will take some time to put it together, but it's an eye-witness account and very interesting and funny.

Glad you got to have such a special vacation, seeing the ocean and revisiting important parts of your past. Alot of us never have a vacation with such meaning and depth like that. You are a first rate patriotic American, no doubt about it.
Thanks to your and your husband for taking things seriously when you could have been trivial.

Hi Billie, your name was suppose to be in the "to" box in my post above :-)

Oh Nan, that sounds wonderful! I love history especially American history. Are you making a thread out of the story?
