At one time, KY and NC were the states with the highest percent of adult smokers. I don't know if this is still true, but I suspect that it may be. As I recall, both had approximately 38 percent smoking rates.

John Dant, owner of the Back Door bar in Louisville and president of the Kentucky Licensed Beverage Dealers Association, favors Seum's bill. I had an adult beverage in this joint about two weeks ago. It's a kewl place where smokers are welcome.
To: Theodore R.
Smoking-ban supporters criticized Seum's effort to pre-empt local authority, calling his legislation a tool of the tobacco industry that infringes on the right of individuals and their local governments to enact laws that protect the public.Funny how this alleged quote wasn't attributed to anyone. It's a gem.
