"I got a lot of help from people in the organization who have promoted education for kids and who continue to do that. ... What I know is what they do."

I remember asking my Salvadoran lab partner about MEChA back in 1985, or so. We were studying for finals together. He also went to the MEChA cram sessions, but told me that I would not be allowed in. I'm pretty white-bread, you know.

He was somewhat uncomfortable with that, and allowed that MEChA was a bunch of racists, but the review course was good. He wasn't really happy about being involved with them, but needed their help to keep his grades up. He was all about the grades, so he did what he had to do.

But neither of us had any illusions about the nature of the MEChA organization.

The MECHa, et al. movement has Lenin-Marxist roots. "Birds of a feather flock together". These groups are invilved in the "Prison Movement " to free their "oppressed brothers of color". Here's an example of theri prison "work"

A panel discussion: Prisons and Their Impact On Human and Democratic Rights of Raza and Other Poor and Oppressed People. Speaking on the panel will be: Quetza Ortiz (Quetza has been active in the struggle for Raza rights for over 30 years, was a former member of CASA-Centro de Accion Social Autonomo, and currently is the coordinator of the Barrio Defense Committee San Jose)

Ben Prado (Ben is the coordinator of the Raza Rights Coalition, and is currently suing the Migra for brutality and violation of his civil rights).

Cathy Espitia (Cathy is the current coordinator of the CMPP, Vice President of the Chicano Park Steering Committee, and a member of Union del Barrio).

Felix Diaz (Felix is a member of MEChA-San Diego State and recently visited several California State Prisons)

David Rico (David was one of the original founders of the Brown Berets in San Diego and is currently the coordinator of the Brown Berets de Aztlan).

The Brown Berets are big on Che Gueverra and Fidel Castro.

"It is great that the word is FINALLY getting out. If it wasn't for the recall and Bustamante filing as a candidate, few would have heard about the racist group and its members."

Yet more proof of the national importance of this historical recall.

"For the race, everything; for those outside the race, nothing."

This sounds just like the KKK.

Substitute the word, Islam, for race , and you've got Bin Laden and his evil ilk.

These Mexican maniacs are my enemies.

I will give them no quarter!!

Correct. I think it's the "little man syndrome." These guys entered this tough, swaggering, militant organization to make themselves feel like tough guys, like people of substance, or at least people who were to be feared. The appeal of MENChA is pathological.

Pretty good work by Hannity... didn't let him get away with changing the subject.

Given a few more seconds it sounds like he would have followed up with something like "Would you have a problem with a whites-only organization that used the same slogan?"

Not an easy question for a leftist racist to answer.

To be fair, la Raza doesn't exactly mean the same thing as "the Race", at least not as the word is used here in Texas. It can mean “race”, as in biological race, but it is more often used in a manner that is better rendered in English as “people”. “La Raza Latina”, for example, literally means “the Latino race”, but no one takes it that way, since there is no such thing as a Latino race; Latinos are a mixed breed like everyone else on Earth. Instead, la Raza Latina usually means something more like "the Latino people" or "the Latino community" than it does anything biological like race. There used to be a similar usage in English; Winston Churchill often spoke of “the English race”, which of course makes no sense in terms of biology but instead refers to those who are organically part of the culture and community of England.

That being said: the philosophy behind groups like MeCHA most definitely does teach that a biologically-Latin race exists and that its members are examples of a sort of mestizo master race destined to rule all of the Americas. (Google for la raza cosmica and see what turns up.) Even though most Latinos are every bit as much European in ancestry as the average "white" American is, these clowns prefer to think of themselves as -- get this -- the descendents of the bloodthirsty Aztecs and Mexicas. Whatever they might pretend that they mean by la Raza, it doesn't include us bolillos (“whitebreads”). For everyone outside their self-defined race, they promise nothing but trouble.

That was an excellent segment. That slimy seditionist Becerra flat refused to answer the question. I thought his little pin head would burst if he got any more upset. What a hoot!

I'll tell ya.... I've been complaining about this MEChA vermin for years and these lefty clowns running the universities won't do a thing about them. They're nothing more than a tan version of the KKK. If any of these traitors get into a position of real power there will be hell to pay.

There is a difference between MEChA and Nazism, one is Mexican and one was German.

Question for Cruz: Why do you support MEChA, a Mexican version of Nazism?

Aztlan = California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Texas, et. al

Nazi Germany = Austria, Chech., Poland, France, Holland, Bulgaria, et. al

I know nothing about Bustamante. I have only appearances to go on. And the name.

Gauging by his looks, I would say that he's not "Latino" at all, but rather an Anglo, the descendant of Spaniards. There are quite a few race hustlers out there whose only connection to their front group is their name.

Oh. You mean like "The Jewish Race". That is the same usage. Sounds pretty fascist to me.

Exactly. That's the point I was trying to make in my earlier post. Many of these clowns have no Indian or Mestizo blood. Another example: Rep. Menendez of New Jersey.

HANNITY: Is - I only have a few more seconds - is that their slogan?

BECERRA: What I know is what they do.

HANNITY: Is that their slogan? You're a member. Is that their slogan?

BECERRA: This is like the 1960s where people were accusing the Southern Leadership Christian Conference of being a communist organization.

HANNITY: Would you condemn anybody - would you condemn any organization that had that as their - answer this question.

BECERRA: Are you calling me a racist?

HANNITY: Would you ...

BECERRA: Are you calling me as racist?

HANNITY: ... that had that as their slogan? Yes or no?

BECERRA: I have been a congressman for 11 years and I've served very well. And I was a member of MEChA. [End of Excerpt]

Dang. Five straight evasions, in as many tries. A new world's record...? :)

I am a white hispanic, proud American before anything else. These Mecha and La RAza people are 100% racist; full of envy, hate, pride; they have ties with marxist groups.

Granted, some people get in just for the help they get; but they are brain washed all the time.

The majority of mexicans see California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and even parts of Colorado as theirs.

When I worked for IBM, I used to talk to a mexican who picked up the trash in our cubes. One time he was telling me about a great vacation he had enjoyed in mexico a few months back, and he mentioned that he stayed at his sister's house. When I asked him the name of the city where his sister lives, he said Houston; I said, but Houston is in Texas; that is not in mexico. To which he replied: No, no; Texas is Mexico; Texas belongs to Mexico. Then he turnes and walked away.
