I'd say it depends on the particulars. Throwing tomatoes at a car, say, sitting at a stop sign is a bit different from throwing them at a car going 65 down a highway. One is vandalism, the other is assault with a deadly weapon.

I don't condone the behavior of the driver (he should have called the police first), but I really don't condemn it either.

We have a lot of them around here. They are looked upon as ignorant vermin. They lose a lot of their "charm" as they get close to you. One wonders why they never have defective or deformed children. Or needy old people. Or funerals?
