Beloved Heavenly Father,

Surround Ernest and Kathy and their family during this difficult time. Wrap them in a coverlet woven with your comfort and the love of our hearts.

We call forth a miracle of love and resolution and healing to take place according to thy will. Heal her soul and any and all areas of concern in the lives of the individuals involved even if it may not be your will for the physical body to be healed. Certainly we ask for the strengthening and healing of her physical temple, but we surrender that request upon the altar for your adjudication.

We do petition you for intercession in the matter concerning pain and pain management. Grant her body and nervous system the dispensation to have her pain mitigated. We ask that you will guide the nurses and other health care professionals in finding medical ways to lessen her pain to tolerable levels.

Father, in the event that you decide to call Kathy back home, we ask that you will guide her and protect her during her homeward journey. Grant that she be met by people she loves, and of course your own emissary to her.

Surround this family as they embark upon that grief process. Guide them as they go through the various stages of adjustment that the grief process entails. Help them to be mindful of the process and to have wisdom and gentleness with each other during this difficult period. Strip them of all doubt and fear and grant them a core of faith, hope, peace, and joy in the face of strife and pain.

Father, we ask that you will bless this family and hold them closely to your heart.

Adjust our prayers according to thy will; we would not pray amiss. This which we call forth for Kathy and her family we call forth for all who are in a similar situation of need.
