Ok, so they asked for $20 million but were awarded only $9.4 million for malpractice, but then reduced it to $1.2 million because of her negligence? Is this correct? I guess I still don't understand the way they award $ in these cases.That seems to be correct.
Still, if this money was for her medical care and rehab, was he allowed to pay legal fees with it? I don't expect you to know the answer to that, just wondering out loud.

Yes, he was allowed to pay legal fees with it! The (dishonorable) Judge Greed granted permission for the money to be released for lawyers' fees! That's the only place where the money has been being bled off to. There's little to no mention of the costs of the nursing home and/or hospice. Or is hospice always paid by Medicare/Medicaid? I think they are. At any rate, no rehab has ever been allowed by Michael. Of course, you can't expect anyone to get better without any rehab or medical intervention of any sort, right?!
